The Role
Are you apprentice or BTec trained with over 3 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment? If so, we have a great opportunity for a Turner.
The successful candidate will read and interpret engineering drawings, among other duties. Experience with XYZ Proturn machines would be an advantage, with some mechanical and materials knowledge and understanding of tools essential.
The key responsibilities of a Turner include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining equipment and taking accurate measurements.
  • Manual turning.
  • Assembling and polishing metal components.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Turner include:

CNC Turning Operator

The Role
Are you apprentice or BTec trained with over 3 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment? If so, we have a great opportunity for a CNC Turning Operator. The successful candidate will write and edit CNC programmes, alongside working with CAM software.

The key responsibilities of a CNC Turning Operator include, but are not limited to:

  • Using measuring equipment for quality control checks.
  • Writing and editing CNC programs.
  • Setting CNC turning machines (including twin spindle CNC lathes).

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a CNC Turning Operator include:

  • Knowledge of industrial machining techniques.
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling (including driven tools).
  • Reliability, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow instructions.
  • Flexible approach to work hours.

  • Understanding of Fanuc control systems would be an advantage.

Tig Welder

Competitive – St. Leonards on Sea, East Sussex

The Role
An experienced Tig welder within a manufacturing environment. will weld and fabricate products from start to finish. Using technical drawings you will ensure the highest level of quality within your work to meet order and deadlines. You will undergo full production training for the products to ensure your development to become a technical expert.

Duties include:

  • Ensure the accurate fabrication of components into appropriate end products.
  • Working to customer specifications.
  • To ensure that company quality control procedures are always followed.
  • To ensure that all jobs issued are completed within the given timescales.
  • Happy to contribute with overtime needs as and when the business needs assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Health & Safety policy Skills and Experience:
  • Previous TIG welding experience is essential - a test will be presented at the interview stage.
  • Working with Stainless Steel is critical. (Aluminium and brazing would be beneficial).
  • Experience of welding on a turntable and freehand.
  • Knowledge in fitting and able to fabricate from own jigs and fixtures would be advantageous.
  • Can confidently read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
